I’ve discovered that Google’s recent “security update” has made all of my webpage links to PDFs on Google Drive invalid, unless the reader has the new link. So, until I find time to revise the links to tens of PDFs on many webpages, a reader must request the link: gedcorres-note@yahoo.com. That alerts me to update the link for everyone (and send it to you, too). If you have a gmail.com account, an automatic request might be generated when you click on my webpage link to a document which is housed on Google Drive. Or maybe any click generates a request. This new file situation frustrates me. I’ll try to make time to change all of my pre-October 2021 Google Drive links to Google’s new format. But that may be gradual over the next several months. | Nov. 26: —or years. |
